SAM owns and operates aerial LiDAR sensors and a fleet of manned and unmanned aircraft, giving us total control over the resources to respond to demanding schedules. Our fixed wing aerial platforms capture point cloud densities ranging from 50 to 100 points per square meter in a single flight profile.
Vehicle, Marine Vessels, Hi-Rail or Off-Road UTV platforms capture LiDAR and 360-degree imagery at over 1,000 points per square meter, traveling at normal transportation speeds. These point clouds can be merged with aerial and terrestrial LiDAR for hybrid and mixed resolution design requirements.
SAM’s terrestrial LiDAR services deliver some of the most accurate and detailed site data in the industry. Terrestrial, including SLAM LiDAR, provides extraordinary efficiency and speed in gathering spatial data, and can be merged into Mobile or Aerial LiDAR datasets to create a complete 3D geospatial model from all viewing perspectives.
